The Story of a Student...

Ok, Raj asked me to write something, and personally i am not in the mood to write fancy and ‘educational’ items. It’s too tiring for my poor brain to take after the exams. So, i just wanted to share a short story about the experiences with my batch, and what i learned from my friends.

...Once upon a time, there was a ‘cute’ guy who got a place in IMU. He was excited at first, but then he heard all the ‘scary’ orientation ordeals that can’t be named here. He planned to find an excuse to skip them...

UNFORTUNATELY, he was chosen as the group leader! There shatters his hopes to skip. Orientation started, it was ‘gruesome’, but he realised when pain and hard work were shared among friends, it seems they were actually sweet.

Fast forward ahead...here i am, still ‘cute’ and grown up a bit, i guess. One of the things we did as a batch was to prove to others that whatever we do, we do it with a ‘bang’. At first, we carried out a Recycling Project to raise fund for the unfortunate. I could still remember clearly my friends carrying tonnes of newspapers from the apartments in blazing sun. When i told them to go back n rest, the told me “we will do this together, no matter what happens”. That was when i realised that at that moment, together, nothing was impossible. Everyone was shocked when we raised rm6000 for the orphanage.

And as time passed by, we kept participating in all activities we could get ourselves in. From performances and dances to deco. We had a mission to at least have 1 project as a batch per SEM. The more we did, the more we learned about each other.

I can’t deny that there will always be cliques among us. But when it comes to achieving something or maintaining our pride and name, we stood together and took the blame as a batch. I need to thank my batch for teaching me that “success is only meaningful when it is shared”.The reason i want to share this is that we always talk about unity and global peace, but did we even take the initiative to know everyone in our class? Or did we realise how lucky we are and help those in need? It is good to put our personal goals in front of us. However, do remember to make your life meaningful too. As life is unpredictable, let us make the best of it

What a nice batch. You should be proud of your friends there and so do they.
